Veltri Cleaners, Washington PA’s Favorite Cleaners
Helping You Look Great…Since 1948
In 1948 Pietro Veltri started the local Dry Cleaners. As a WWII veteran he had been a tailor on his Naval Ship. From the beginning, as his family, we helped him grow throughout the greater Washington County area and build a well-respected business in our community.
Veltri Cleaners is now owned and operated by Pietro’s son, Salvatore (Sam). In 1998 Sam knew the business was outgrowing the old building on Jefferson Avenue. He planned to construct a new building that would be built at the same location but in two separate phases. We know our customers reply on our service so this allowed the cleaners to continue operations throughout the entire construction, never having to shut down!
Sam has continued the tradition of excellence through the years with a large family influence. With his wife, Janis, daughter, Samantha, and a dependable staff of experienced employees working by his side, Sam has continued to grow the business and expand our loyal customer base.
For years our community has turned to us to clean their most delicate and valuable items. Our customers have always trusted us with heirlooms, restoring gowns, hand-knitted items and even precious Civil War attire because they know we always treat each item as if it were our own.
Businesses also recognize this attention to detail as our own W&J College needed our help when pressing an extremely large drapery for their new building’s grand opening. When the Meadows Casino opened they turned to us with thousands of time-sensitive uniforms that needed to be finished by a strict deadline. We were able to adapt our services to best fit these customers and businesses and promise to always do so into the future.
Veltri Cleaners is proud to be a family-owned and operated business and we have strong ties to our community. To show our support throughout the years we sponsor local sports teams, events and fundraisers. In the community we support various charities and organizations such as: The City Mission, The Olivia Scott Foundation, Brownson House, Washington County Theater, St. Hilary Church, The American Heart Association, The Cancer Association, NAACP and many local school districts and sports teams.
We hope you will join our family of customers and be a part of our extensive history in this community.
